Coping with stranded renewable resources in Norway

March 13, 2017

In Norway 98 percent of the electricity production come from renewable energy sources, most of it hydropower.  Furthermore, significant additional renewable energy resources remain to be developed and may provide tremendous economic opportunities.

However, many of Norway´s renewable energy resources are stranded and cannot easily be integrated in the existing grid infrastructure. Hydrogen production by water electrolysis alone or in combination with Power-to Fuel concepts may present strategies to utilise these renewable energy resources.

HydrogenPro is presenting their concept at  Småkraftdagane 2017
